About Ayer Keroh Food Court

Nestled just before the entrance to the highway connecting KL and Johor, this food court in Taman Muzaffar Shah offers a collection of local flavors that draw both travelers and locals alike. It's a casual and cozy spot where the ambience feels relaxed and unhurried, suitable for solo diners as well as groups. The open, wheelchair-friendly layout makes it welcoming and accessible to everyone.

Visitors often come here seeking hearty Malaysian staples such as various types of Nasi Goreng, flavorful Asam Pedas, and a range of seafood dishes, often priced moderately. The sambal and spicy elements tend to stand out, reflecting a genuine local taste without heavy reliance on MSG, which resonates well with those who prefer authentic flavors. While seafood lovers might find some fiddly moments peeling prawns or squid, the effort is part of the experience.

The presence of several food operators means there’s a little variety, and many appreciate the reasonable pricing given the quality and the comfort of free parking—both onsite and on the street. This spot tends to attract families with children, groups looking for a casual meal, and travelers stopping by for a convenient and satisfying bite. It’s the kind of place where finding a favorite dish often leads to repeat visits, especially for fans of traditional Asam Pedas and spicy sambal dishes.

What Locals Say

Conveniently located shortly before the entrance to the KL/Johor highway. A lot of tasty menus such as Nasi Goreng (Seafood at RM10) of various types, Sambal Sotong (15RM), Asam Pedas or Tom Yam at overall a $$-price level. Otak-Otak (15 pieces for RM18) is being served as an intro. Only downside: Seafood needs to be peeled during eating (Udang, Sotong).

Cari asam pedas. Kedai no 2 abg Dan. Asam pedas just nice. My banjar tastebud sense no msg used. Overall happy with the food and service. Thank you. As of noon , two food operators are available ( No 2 & No 3) namely Abg Dan & Pak Man. Both are giving their best to serving customers n I commend that. Will come again for sure.

We were hungry and otw back to Shah Alam. Our usual breakfast place near the Al Azim mosque was closed on Sunday. So we stopped at this Air Keroh food court, at nasi lemak ejam. The price was on the premium side but the nasi lemak was delicious. The sambal was spicy yet delicious.

If you’re looking for Asam Pedas in Melaka, the options here are plenty and they are all fantastic. The price range is reasonable and most often not overly crowded. Free Parking lots available.

Asam Pedas Melaka No.2 was very nice, Had stingray asam Pedas and chicken Asam Pedas with their fried chicken. The fried chicken is definitely a good pair with their asam Pedas. Very nice, food was very affordable and cheap for large portion, compared to Pak Man asam Pedas, this place definitely way better, many parking spots. The boss was very friendly, nice guy, very pleasant visit. -16Jan2022
